Sitting in psychology lectures you come across a wide range of information. The interesting, the boring and the stuff you just didn’t need to know about people. However, it’s all relevant! Why? Because most of us deal with people everyday and at least you have to deal with yourself. So here are some psychology facts that might be useful to keep in mind.
1. Humans have a tendency to assume other people are not nearly as complex as they are.
You think you notice things others don’t or that you feel so much more than those around you. You also feel alone sometimes because you can’t imagine that anyone else feels the way you do. News flash! They do! Recognize that every individual is in fact as complex as you are. Others have just as unique thoughts and skills! Allow yourself to see outside the labels you put on the people around you.
